Meet Dr. Maria L. Hodas

Dr. Hodas is a native Mainer but has lived in the Washington, DC area for 15 years. 

Prior to becoming a dentist, Dr. Hodas worked on Capitol Hill as a legislative staffer and later for the American Dental Education Association (ADEA).  While at ADEA, she worked in the Division of Knowledge Management and also served on the Student Financial Aid Advisory Committee.

Dr. Hodas was the recipient of numerous awards for her clinical and academic work while in dental school.  After graduating from Howard University College of Dentistry, Dr. Hodas pursued further training as a general practice resident at the Veterans’ Affairs Medical Center in Washington, DC where she received advanced training in prosthodontics, endodontics, implants, and oral surgery.

In addition to her private practice experience, Dr. Hodas has provided free dental care to the underserved, both internationally and locally.  She always strives to learn more about new advances in dentistry and most recently completed the Invisalign Pro program. 

In her free time, Dr. Hodas enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and Siamese cat.  She also enjoys spinning, cooking and traveling.
